Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on microbusinesses around the world. It is estimated that of the total establishments (4.9 million) in the country (Mexico), for the year 2020, only 3.9 million survived, which represents 79.2%, and those that closed definitively were 1,010, 857 companies, which represent the 20.8% (INEGI, 2020). That is why this work carries out an analysis of the adaptability strategies that the restaurants of Jala, Sayulita and Compostela, Nayarit carried out during the health contingency due to COVID-19 in 2020. To collect data, 20 questionnaires were carried out. . made up of open and closed questions, which had the purpose of characterizing these restaurants and knowing the strategies they used to survive the health contingency. As relevant results, it was found that in order to adapt and survive the health contingency, companies had to digitally transform, take care of their customer base as well as their suppliers, and be innovative.
